Intro to Climbing Classes

This class focuses on teaching beginners how to climb in the gym. You will get an introduction to the gym and the safety procedures for the main climbing area and our bouldering area. We will teach you how to put on a climbing harness correctly, how to tie into that harness using the figure eight follow-through knot, and how to belay a climber. Our staff will answer any questions you might have regarding climbing safety. After the instruction is over, the staff will stay with you to monitor your retention of what was learned in the class for another 30 minutes, for a class totaling 2 hours.

Beginning Climbing Movement Class

If you want to improve your climbing fast, this is the class for you. This class is three weeks long and consists of learning about how to use your feet, types of climbing holds, route reading, balance, and efficient climbing. Not only do you get 3 weeks of great instruction, you also get a free membership and gear rental during the class. This is an amazing deal that only cost you $75.

Youth Climbing Movement Class

The best way to introduce youth to climbing is to enroll them in our Youth Movement Class. In this class they will learn about the many different types of climbing as well as instruction on movement on the wall from qualified coaches and current YAC Team members. After the class they will be ready to explore the world of climbing on their own or jump into our Youth Adventure Climbing Team.
