Class Times:

  • Ages: 8 to 12
    1st & 2nd Sat
  • Ages 13 to 17
    3rd & 4th Sat
  • 10:30am to Noon
    Must schedule 2 weeks in advance.

Cost:

  • $60 per climber
  • $45 per climber (Members)

Climbing is a great activity for kids.  It works on all five components of physical fitness: muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, body composition, and cardiovascular fitness.  More importantly, it is FUN and does not feel like "exercise".  Climbing also does wonders for self confidence and determination.

Advantages of youth climbing range from giving them a healthy, fun activity to introducing them to a life-long sport that will give them endless joy and friends.  It is a clear "win win"!

Class Info

The best way to introduce youth to climbing is to enroll them in our Youth Movement Class.  In this class they will learn about the many different types of climbing as well as instruction on movement on the wall from qualified coaches and current YAC team members.  After the class they will be ready to explore the world of climbing on their own or jump into our Youth Adventure Climbing Team.
