Address Change

Grimes, as of 9-2-09, changed the way it labels streets and address.  The streets signs have been updated, but as of 11-22-09 none of the online map programs have.

Continue to use the old address for online map programs, but you will need to go east on 37 St. not 54th(54th only exists coming from 86th St.) if you are coming from Highway 141.

FROM THE SOUTH OR WEST

1. I80 / I35 are a joint interstate traveling around the NW corner of Des Moines.
2. Exit #127 to Grimes/Urbandale on Hwy 141 West
3. From exit turn right (N) on 141W (also called NW Urbandale Dr)
4. Travel to intersection with 37th Avenue (approximately ½ mile)
5. Turn right (E) on 37th Avenue (Phillips 66 on SE corner; BP on NE corner)
6. Travel .4 miles on 37th to Miehe Drive
7. Turn left on Miehe Drive, Climb Iowa entrance is first entrance on right side of Miehe

FROM THE NORTH OR EAST

1. Directions above from exit #127 are the fastest route to the gym, however this exit has more hotels and restaurants.
2. I80 / I35 are a joint interstate traveling around the NW corner of Des Moines.
3. Exit # 129 to Johnston on 86th Street
4. From exit turn north toward Johnston on 86th Street
5. Travel to intersection with 54th Avenue (approximately .4 mile)
6. Turn left (W) on 54th Avenue (Dahl’s on NW corner, American on SE corner)
7. Travel 1.6 miles on 54th, which will become 37th before you get to Miehe Drive (just past the entrance to Cutty’s campground)
8. Turn right on Miehe Drive, Climb Iowa entrance is first entrance on right side of Miehe
